K.R. Barker is a native Missourian, born in the 1950s. As a
college student, he studied life science, writing, art, and business. He has
been a successful businessman for many years. Self-empowerment is his longtime
interest. In 2001, he approached Li MacColl with the idea of writing a book
together. In the process of creating this course, Li and K.R. fell in love.
They married in March of 2002.
Li MacColl
Li MacColl is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia with degrees in
Psychology and Sociology. She is a member of National Mortar Board Honor
Society. A proposal that Li developed with the help of a colleague was
considered by President Clinton for his War-On-Poverty Program. She is the
mother of two girls, Willow and Ariel. Willow loves to read and is thinking of
becoming a veterinarian. Ariel is interested in theater and poetry.
