Joseph J. Bohnaker               Historical Fiction               Third Millennium Publishing

About the Author

Joseph Bohnaker was born in Brooklyn, NY, and grew up in both Brooklyn and the Adirondacks, one of his favorite places.  After serving in the Army, he took up a career in electronic engineering in New York where he stayed for several years. But he was the restless sort and took jobs that led him around the world.

He has a keen interest in literature and started writing short stories and articles for small magazines early in his career. His world travels, especially over much of Europe, gave him much to write about, including his latest novel about the Viking era. He studied medieval history; German at Bonn University; holds a BA/MA from the University of Texas and published a previous historical novel, OF ARMS I SING, with excellent reviews from Booklist and others.

Serious historical fiction is one of his favorite genres because it is a powerful way to get at the truth and, if balanced and well done, can bring a better understanding between cultures.

He lives in the American Southwest with his wife and continues his research and writing. He remains indebted to his wife for supporting his writing endeavors.
