Vessels Unto Honor               Religion

In too much of modern life, people who claim to be religious are not living up to their responsibilities to God. People who should be the Light and Salt of the World are bringing shame and disgrace to His church as they fail to live up to His commandments for us. It is His desire that whosoever be called by the name of the Lord shall be set apart, to be used by the Master as His instrument. When everything a person says and does reflects honor to the Lord, that person can truly be said to be a Vessel Unto Honor.

 
We, as vessels, must strive to meet the standards put down by Jesus Christ at all times, either through ministry of the Word, through the administration of ordinances, or by some other duty that He has called upon us to perform in the expansion of His kingdom here on Earth.
 

That is the timely message of Vessels Unto Honor and one that will benefit all Christians everywhere.

The Egyptian Origin of Christianity - Spirituality / Religion

The culture of ancient Egypt has had far more influence on Christianity than merely adding the Book of Moses to the Old Testament.  The ceremonial parallels between the modern Roman Catholic Church and ancient Egyptian ceremony are striking.

Egyptian rites  were spread by ancient travelers as they dispersed from North Africa and settled in the land of Israel and beyond, carrying with them their own traditions and customs. The influence of Egypt on the origin of Christianity has long been a matter of academic debate.  It has prompted thinkers like Siegfried Morenz, Director of the University of Liepzig Institute of Egyptology, to remark that, "the influence of the Egyptian religion on posterity is mainly felt through Christianity and its antecedents."

Ancient Manuscripts of Jesus Christ - Religion//History

Sometimes treasures of great wealth can be discovered centuries after their creation, to become pearls of great price to the discoverer.  This can happen, either  by chance or by Divine Providence.  Certainly God has a time and place for all things.
