The Earth Archivist

Book 5 of the Two Worlds Epic

It is the century following Earth’s destruction in a nuclear holocaust. Only the rescue of a handful of humans by benevolent aliens prevented the extinction of the human race. The aliens helped the survivors establish a colony on the alien home planet, Tamacra.

Adam McCubbin is the only son of a Tamacran business tycoon. He is torn as to what he will do with his life. His father wants him to choose the family business, but he has a passion for the Earth Archives, where the history of the lost world is stored.

His decision to become an Archivist does not sit well with his father, who cuts him off from his inheritance; nor with his wife, who leaves him. His domestic situation is worsened by the fact that the only professional opening for an archivist is on Ellicron, the second planet of the Epsilon Eridani System.

With much trepidation, he relocates light-years from home. After a period of culture shock, he discovers that he likes his job. It offers him the fulfilment he is looking for, requires frequent interstellar travel, and provides him with opportunities for adventure and some romance.
However, all is not well among the stars. The booming economies of the colony worlds have spawned two mega-corporations who are fighting for dominance in the various interstellar markets. One of these is McCubbin Enterprises, headed by Adam’s father; the same corporation he turned his back on to become an historian.

In the titanic battle of giants, McCubbin Enterprises is losing. While his father’s company is faltering, Pickford Estates, the other competitor, is getting stronger.

Adam has knowledge that could tip the scales in favor of his father’s business. There is a problem. His estrangement from his father is total. All of his offers to help have gone unanswered and it looks like his father’s company will soon

Return to Earth

Book 7  of the Two Worlds Epic

It is two centuries since a nuclear holocaust devastated the Earth. Friendly humanoid aliens, the Reptons, rescued one thousand human survivors and transported them to Tamacra, a Repton-inhabited world orbiting Tau Ceti. The small human colony thrived over the next ten generations as they integrated themselves into Repton society.

Meanwhile, Earth has returned to its former verdant glory and is now ripe for recolonization, Greg Diltwood and Lissa Doltgren are heavily involved in a decades-long effort to reseed the old home world. Their careful plans are suddenly disrupted when astronomers discover a rogue planet on a collision course with Tamacra.

With only 400 days left to transfer 5 billion Reptons and hundreds of thousands of humans to Earth, they face a seemingly impossible task. Even the large Repton interstellar fleet is inadequate to the task. The most optimistic projections indicate there isn't enough time to save everyone. Greg and Lissa face hard choices, as well as mortal danger, from the approaching rogue planet. What are they to do?

2020

In the year 2020, Americans are facing hard times—economic collapse and heightened international tension, made worse by an inept incumbent president. Psychiatrist Roger Darius struggles with a profit-driven healthcare system which conflicts with his patient-comes-first approach. Meanwhile, multiple UFO sightings locally have him wondering if ET might be visiting soon.

Frustrated with the deteriorating state of society and the adverse effect it’s having on his patients, Darius becomes a political activist who pushes for change. His rebellious attitude, however, costs him his psychiatric career, but he becomes more determined than ever to carry out his mission. He teams up with Donna Lundford, a former administrator who supports his cause.

This being an election year, Darius and Lundford work hard in the campaign to get a new president elected, one who will provide hope for the future. But they have to deal with sinister forces—one of them of extra-terrestrial origin—that create insta-bility and the prospect of doom.
