Across the Arctic
This is the story of the 1954 voyage of exploration by the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Northwind.
The book was written and photographed by Phil Jaffe, a member of the crew during that voyage across the Top of the World and through the Northwest Passage.
Many of the photographs in the book were taken by him.
Included in the book is a history of the United States Coast Guard up to the present day.
