THE OUIDA LINK
Ouida was the
pseudonym of Maria Louise De La Ramée, English novelist, known for her
extravagant melodramatic romances of fashionable life. She was a genius, but
also undeniably insane.
In The
Ouida Link, a modern-day woman becomes oddly linked to Ouida; so like,
yet unlike, the mad, capricious author.
Book I: THE AUTHOR
Infamous, notorious, the highest-paid author
in the world dies a pauper. The creator of shockingly lush romances in high
places utterly defies Victorian decorum only to live and die a prudish virgin.
The arrogant yet magnetic ruler of Florentine Society for 23 years eventually
becomes the most hated woman in Tuscany.
Book II: THE CURSE OF OUIDA
A modern-day romance writer becomes oddly
linked to a woman who lived a century before her. So like, yet unlike, this
Amad,
capricious Author.
Book III: whorehouseRoux
A
farce with dark forces, a study in noble exploitation, this story makes mockery
of every stereotype in the world of the prostitute, wrenching cliché into
singularity.
